Overnight accommodation is not included in the registration fee and we regret we cannnot arrange accommodation. If you wish to stay in a hotel, prices vary from budget hotels charging approx. £70 per night to more luxurious venues at over £100 per night. Here are some suggestions:
Victoria
Square Hotel
The Best Western Victoria Square
Hotel comprises two gracious listed Victorian houses (circa 1870) on the
elegant, tree lined Victoria Square in the heart of Clifton village, Bristol.
Conveniently located, the Hotel is just one mile from Bristol city centre and a
short walk to the University precinct. If you mention that you are attending the Heavenly Discouses Conference you will receive a discount.
The
Bristol Marriott Royal
A Victorian-style
hotel with polished marble, warm mahogany and gleaming brass, located next to
Bristol Cathedral, the historic waterfront and Cabot Circus. Spacious rooms
offer comfortable furnishings, 24-hour room service, and large work areas with
high-speed Internet.
Berkeley
Square Hotel
A 3 star boutique
style hotel situated in a beautiful Georgian square. All rooms are individually
decorated and are either single or double. It is home to the Square, a private
members club - hotel guests have full access. The hotel is situated in a quiet
location behind the bustling shops of Park Street. It is a 10 minute walk to
the University precinct.
Clifton
Hotel
A 2 star budget
hotel which offers single and double bedrooms (please be aware that the single
rooms can be rather small in size!). The hotel is complimented by the lively
Racks restaurant and wine bar. It is also just a short walk away from the
vibrant nightlife, restaurants and cafe bars of Whiteladies Road. The hotel is
a 10 minute walk to the University precinct.
Rodney
Hotel
A 2 star Georgian
hotel, which was once a large private house, set in historic Clifton Village
offers twin and double rooms. The Rodney is a small hotel of 31 rooms, it has a
warm, welcoming environment and has recently had a number of rooms refurbished.
The hotel is a 15 minute walk to the University precinct.
Washington
Hotel
A budget hotel
which offers single and double bedrooms (please be aware that the single rooms
can be rather small!). Although there is a small area for guests to take
breakfast the hotel does not have a restaurant for dining. Guests can use the
Racks restaurant at the nearby Clifton Hotel or take a short walk to
Whiteladies Road where you will find an abundance of restaurants and cafe bars.
The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the University precinct.
Youth
Hostels: There are two youth hostels in
Bristol (www.bristolbackpackers.co.uk and www.yha.org.uk) where accommodation is slightly
cheaper than our conference accommodation. They are both located in the very
centre of the city and about 15- 20 minutes walk from the Conference site.
Other Local Accommodation including B Bs, Serviced Apartments, Self-catering and Hostels
